What is SKIBUS EXPRESS check-in?
SKIBUS EXPRESS check-in is a process improvement to the standard SKIBUS check-in process that is designed to save considerable time for most participants, while also enabling SKIBUS to depart on-time on trip days. SKIBUS check-in involves collecting & verifying information from participants, selecting motorcoaches, as well as distributing boarding passes, lift tickets and merchandise. The standard check-in process is fairly time-consuming & takes about 45-60 minutes to complete for all participants. The SKIBUS EXPRESS check-in process should be much faster for most participants (students & chaperones), as it moves the most time-consuming aspects SKIBUS check-in to participating individuals in the 24-hours proceeding Trip Day. In many cases, participants simply review & confirm the accuracy of their responses during EXPRESS check-in -- making updates, as needed.
How does SKIBUS EXPRESS check-in work? SKIBUS EXPRESS check-in resembles the general model used by commercial airlines for check-in. It works as follows:
- Registered participants receive a "check-in" email from SKIBUSPRO.COM ~24 hours before Trip Day
- Participants indicate whether they are planning to attend the trip (or not) & answer (or review) check-in questions
- On Trip Day, participants visit an EXPRESS check-in line with their helmet to collect a SKIBUS lanyard, boarding pass + optional lift ticket
- Participants board their selected motorcoach
Notes
- EXPRESS check-in is available from 7:00AM the day before Trip day through 6:45AM on Trip Day
- EXPRESS check-in emails will be sent the day before Trip Day (~24 hours ahead).
- Emails are unique per student per trip - don't share or forward.
- If you don't see an EXPRESS check-in mail, check your SPAM/junk folders.
- Standard check-in will be available as always
