CHECK-IN
#QuestionAnswer
1What is SKIBUS EXPRESS check-in? SKIBUS EXPRESS check-in is a process improvement to the standard SKIBUS check-in process that is designed to save considerable time for most participants, while also enabling SKIBUS to depart on-time on trip days. SKIBUS check-in involves collecting & verifying information from participants, selecting motorcoaches, as well as distributing boarding passes, lift tickets and merchandise. The standard check-in process is fairly time-consuming & takes about 45-60 minutes to complete for all participants. The SKIBUS EXPRESS check-in process should be much faster for most participants (students & chaperones), as it moves the most time-consuming aspects SKIBUS check-in to participating individuals in the 24-hours proceeding Trip Day. In many cases, participants simply review & confirm the accuracy of their responses during EXPRESS check-in -- making updates, as needed.

How does SKIBUS EXPRESS check-in work? SKIBUS EXPRESS check-in resembles the general model used by commercial airlines for check-in. It works as follows:
  1. Registered participants receive a "check-in" email from SKIBUSPRO.COM ~24 hours before Trip Day
  2. Participants indicate whether they are planning to attend the trip (or not) & answer (or review) check-in questions
  3. On Trip Day, participants visit an EXPRESS check-in line with their helmet to collect a SKIBUS lanyard, boarding pass + optional lift ticket
  4. Participants board their selected motorcoach

Notes
  • EXPRESS check-in is available from 7:00AM the day before Trip day through 6:45AM on Trip Day
  • EXPRESS check-in emails will be sent the day before Trip Day (~24 hours ahead).
    • Emails are unique per student per trip - don't share or forward.
    • If you don't see an EXPRESS check-in mail, check your SPAM/junk folders.
  • Standard check-in will be available as always

REGISTRATION
#QuestionAnswer
1How do I register my student for SKIBUS?Follow the registration link at the top of this site, then click the New Student Registration button. Note that registration is available during the SKIBUS open registration window which typically starts and ends in November each year.

TRIPCHANGES-CANCELLATIONS
#QuestionAnswer
1My student will miss (or misses) a committed trip. Can I cancel the trip? No. Cancellations nor refunds are possible after SKIBUS open registration closes as the Bush School incurs financial obligations to vendors based on student commitments made during open registation. However, the following options are available to help families and students when a student needs to miss a SKIBUS trip:
  • Exchange - A student may exchange one SKIBUS trip for another SKIBUS trip to the same resort, provided capacity exists for the desired trip. Exchanging for a SKIBUS trip to a different resort is possible, but may require the purchase of an additional lift ticket.
  • Redeem Lift Ticket - A student may redeem a SKIBUS trip for the lift ticket. The lift ticket may be used at the resort on one of the make-up trip dates. The "Redeem" option is only available for SKIBUS Trips to CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN. Stevens Pass lift tickets are not charged to students unless issued on trip days.
  • Transfer - A student may attempt to transfer an unused SKIBUS trip to another student. SKIBUS generally attempts to sell transferred trips (and lift tickets) to other students who wish to join a specific SKIBUS trip, before selling net new SKIBUS trips and lift tickets. If a transfer is successful, the SKIBUS trip & lift ticket (along with associated costs) are transferred to the student who will join the SKIBUS trip.
  • Donate - A student may donate their unused SKIBUS trip and lift ticket to the Bush School. The trip and/or lift tickets are available to the financial aid office.
If you have any questions, please reach out to skibus@bush.edu
2What are the SKIBUS "make-up" dates and when are they? When students miss a SKIBUS trip to Crystal Mountain and choose to redeem the lift ticket for that trip, the Crystal lift ticket may be used at Crystal Mountain on one of the "make-up" dates at Crystal Mountain. "Make Up" dates are not SKIBUS trips - they are simply the dates where Crystal Mountain will honor the lift tickets for missed Bush SKIBUS trips. Students must provide their own transportation to Crystal Mountain to leverage the lift ticket. Crystal Mountain "Make Up" dates are TBD at the moment, but we expect them to be in March or early April 2025 and that there will be a Saturday option and a Sunday option. This text will be updated once the details are settled.
3What happens if I choose to redeem a SKIBUS trip for the lift ticket, but I cannot visit Crystal Mountain on one the "make-up" dates?Unfortunately, the lift ticket will expire. No refunds or exchanges are possible.

CHAPERONE
#QuestionAnswer
1How do I register as a volunteer chaperone?Follow the same instructions as student registration, except click the New Chaperone Registration button.
2What is required to participate as a SKIBUS chaperone?Prospective SKIBUS chaperones register to participate as a volunteer chaperone during SKIBUS open registration. Chaperone selection is a selective process based on trip capacity and other factors. There is NO requirement to know how to SKI or SNOWBOARD. Volunteers are explicitly notified if they are selected an asked to commit the trip as a volunteer chaperone. A complimentary lift ticket is available to selected chaperones, as required. Please review the SKIBUS Chaperone Participation Requirements to understand participation requirements. If you wish to become a chaperone after open registration, email skibus@bush.edu to learn about available opportunities.
